“This was our first experience with an overnight rafting trip and did the 4 day/81 mile trip through Hells Canyon. Our rafting trip with Hells Canyon Raft was nothing short of amazing. I was constantly in awe of how beautiful the canyon was.
The guides (Craig, Catherine, Will and Jack) were great and worked so hard from sunup to sundown. I’m not used to being pampered but they would not allow us to lift a finger to help. Every meal was delicious and plentiful. You will not go hungry.
The most exciting part for me was probable the kayaking. I was hesitant at first as I have never kayaked whitewater but I actually kayaked class 3 rapids and wasn’t scared, only excited. Thank you for a wonderful experience.”
“I think what stands out the most is how professional your guides were and how well planned everything was. Even though it was early in the season this definitely was not their first rodeo. They all worked so hard and were so attentive. I’m not used to being pampered but they would not let us lift a finger to help.” 
“Every meal was delicious but if I had to pick a favorite I guess it would be the steak, potatoes and roasted veggies. The lemon ricotta pancakes were amazing and the taco salad one day for lunch was especially yummy, but like I said, every meal was delicious.”
“If I had to pick a highlight I guess I would say getting to kayak whitewater. I have only been in a tandem kayak in calm water so I didn’t even know I could do it. I actually kayaked class 3 rapids. It was a total rush.”

I don’t even know where to start. The last four days were some of the most memorable days for our family. Hells Canyon Raft guides are truly incredible humans and their company is hands-down the absolute best. This trip was initially important to us as our last “Mom and Dad financed vacation” but our oldest son, 21 year old Rylan, was recently diagnosed with early onset macular degeneration and we’re trying to give him as many visual memories as we can before he loses his functional site. HCR crew absolutely helped us in accomplishing this check off and for that we will be eternally grateful. From the depths of our heart and souls, that you Ilene, Katherine, Cam, Alex, Gus and Lee.

“We had the best trip with HCR! Everything from the small stuff like making sure you have a soda at lunch to ensuring everyone avoids hypothermia in the sideways rain/hail/sleet in the early season trips… they got you covered! The guides were all awesome and brought their own piece of individualism to the trip to really put the icing on the cake. The logistics beforehand were really spot on and helpful too! If you’re looking for a great time, spot on safety, and a little pampering, this is the spot for you!! We did the Snake River 4 days/3nights, 81 miles departing 5/19, and will def do the Salmon with no one but HCR next… probably in the fall 🙂

“Wonderful trip. We took our two grown sons with us. The canyon is beyond beautiful. The guides kept our safety as their top priority but were so nice to our group. Meals are better than restaurants. Kurt and Heidi are great hosts. We will remember this trip forever”.
