Hells Canyon Raft Terms and Conditions

and Our Commitment to our Guests

Our hope is to run a first-class river trip.  A trip that will bring you back for more, and you will tell your friends about.  We want to make our communications about trip details, logistics, and policies clear.

If you find it necessary to cancel your trip, please notify us as soon as possible 208-634-6366 and email [email protected] . You will be given a refund less the deposit if you cancel 75 days prior to departure. All deposits are nonrefundable. If cancellations are made on or after the final payment due date, no money will be refunded unless we fill the trip. In that case we will refund your payment less the deposit amount. You are welcome to find a replacement for yourself.

We are small business with limited availability, operating during a short summer season. For this reason, we regret that we cannot make exceptions and strongly urge you to purchase trip insurance. Available here with Travelex. Purchase travel insurance the same time you book your trip. All rights reserved.

If HCR cancels your trip due to insufficient booking, fires, road or river closures, unsafe river conditions, reasons beyond our control or discretion, we will happily  transfer your money to another trip or refund.

On some trips, we offer a Group Rate for groups of 10 or more.  We are also happy to arrange private charter trips. Contact us for details.

Hells Canyon Raft does not include or sell travel insurance.  We recommend using Travel Ex. https://www.travelexinsurance.com/?location=12-0056&go=bp.  They have a wide range of travel insurance.

We do our best to provide you with all kinds of great resources to prepare for your trip.  These include a packing list, reading lists, detailed itineraries and more.  All our multi-day river trips include river bags, tents, sleeping bags, and pads.  In most cases, we will even help you book a hotel room prior to and after your trip.  The reservation packet that we send you will include a detailed gear list of what you should bring.

Most of our trips are suitable for beginners.  Flexibility and adventure are a good thing to bring along.   It’s important that you understand the physical requirements for whatever trip you choose.  If you have any medical concerns, we encourage you to speak with your doctor before reserving space on a trip.

If you are planning a special event during the trip such as a birthday or anniversary, please let us know as always have a few surprises up our sleeves.  On our intake form, you can indicate any food needs you might have, and we are happy to accommodate those.
